I’m Laura Swilley, a passionate educator in DC/Northern Virginia. I specialize in ELA and theatre educat, director, choreographer and curriculum designer dedicated to creating dynamic, inclusive spaces where students thrive both onstage and off. With over two decades of experience, I specialize in middle and high school ELA and theatre arts, technical theatre, and musical theatre—blending performance, creativity, and standards-based instruction.

 

As a classically trained dancer and experienced performer, I bring a deep understanding of movement, storytelling, and stage presence to every classroom and rehearsal. Whether I’m building a year-long curriculum or coaching students through their first monologue, my goal is to inspire confidence, creativity, and collaboration.
